Diners Club Japan
When director, Tomokazu Yamada, and DP, Tetsuya Kondo were planning to shoot with world famous BMX rider, Yōhei Uchino, through the streets of NYC, they knew the best way to capture the intensity of navigating a busy urban landscape on a BMX bike would be to be right along side of him with the camera. But how do you operate a camera while keeping up with a cyclist over foot bridges, through alleys, and down 5th Avenue? This is where I came in. Having 20+ years of experience on inline skates combined with 15+ years of camera operating puts me in a somewhat unique position to be able to effortlessly cruise along side of Yōhei, while operating the camera in various ways. Yōhei and I had a blast shooting these scenes.
